Agronomic and industrial engineer specialised in cannabis
Rubén Valenzuela is an agronomic and industrial engineer, co-founder and CTO of the companies Valenveras and Cannaveras Genetics, as well as co-founder of Cannabis HUB, together with the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC).
With over 10 years of experience in the cannabis sector, he has researched cannabis agronomy and understands the enormous potential of the plant, as well as the benefits and potential uses of its cultivation. As CTO of Valenveras and Cannaveras Genetics, he has developed new products and services for the cannabis industry, including the latest generation of analytical models using NIR and FTIR technology.
He is also the founder of the cannabis association Green Roots, a collaborator with CATFAC and the wider cannabis movement. Rubén Valenzuela consistently shares his values of sustainability and ecology, driven by hemp, and has helped build a network of people working to professionalise the cannabis sector.
Beyond cannabis, Rubén Valenzuela is CEO and COO of MycoBag, a project focused on research in mycology and applied genetics.
